Record Division is a full-scope recording environment that marries classic vintage recording equipment and approaches with cutting edge technology and workflows. The result is uncompromising audio quality in a studio appointed with world class fixtures in a comfortable, professional environment that produces high quality results – fast.

STUDIO A (CONTROL ROOM)

The Studio A accommodates a full band, engineer, producer and assistant with ease. Its dimensions are a little over 7m by 4m with over 3m high ceilings creating a high-quality listening environment for recording and mixing. The room has been tuned to deliver a high quality listening position enabling the operator to hear everything in superb clarity and definition. The layout has been designed to enable smooth workflows and great results with line of sight to LR1 and LR2 from the control position for great communication between spaces.

LIVE ROOM 1

Our main LR1 is approximately 7m by 5m with a 3m ceiling and was custom built from the ground up to create an optimum environment for recording live instruments. Drums sound huge and balanced, while our baby grand piano fills the air with comfort and ease. Amplifiers can be extremely loud without any disruption in the control room and ensembles have room to breathe as the sound develops in the room. Line of sight to both Studio A and LR2. Complete with 24 XLR tie lines, 12 returns, instrument line level and speaker cab feeds, as well SDI picture feeds with Cat6 network points.

LIVE ROOM 2

The smaller of the two live recording spaces, LR2 is approximately 3m by 5m with a 3m ceiling and provides a brilliant room for tight, controlled drums, horn section or a stack of guitar amps. Line of site to LR1 and Studio A. Complete with 24 XLR tie lines, 12 returns, instrument line level and speaker cab feeds, as well SDI picture feeds with Cat6 network points.

AIR LOCK

Sandwiched between Studio A and LR1 we have an extended hallway space between the studios that we call the Air Lock. At 2.5m long by 1.7m wide with a 3m ceiling its is also isolated from Studio A and from LR1. This enables it to be used as an added booth space for vocals or acoustic instruments. It has direct line of sight to both Studio A and LR1 making it a great additional space for your session. Complete with 8 XLR tie lines, 4 returns, instrument line level and speaker cab feeds, as well SDI picture feeds with Cat6 network points.

GREEN ROOM AND KITCHEN

Part of creating a great atmosphere is having space to focus as well as a space to relax. Our green room is a comfortable getaway from the session with a PS5 and 40” screen. Watch movies, play games or check out the latest on our YouTube channel. Or, if you really must, check your emails in comfort with our lightning-fast 100mb broadband WiFi and a cup of tea or coffee supplied by Wogan, our local roastery just round the corner – all on the house of course.
